New Jersey Arts Incubator announced that talented trombonist Jeff Bradshaw will headline its 1. Annual OSPAC Jazz and Brew Fest. This years festival will feature an eclectic array of performers across varied styles and genres, from jazz legends to R B royalty. With R B and jazz sensation Alyson Williams, West Orange greats Nat Adderley Jr. Jan Carden and Montclairs Jazz House Kids as part of the lineup, one of New Jerseys most popular jazz festivals will host live musical performances by top artists both local and national. With the backdrop of Crystal Lakes skyline, the Oskar Schindler Performing Arts Center has served as a musical arena of sounds performed by jazz powerhouses who have traveled the world. The outdoor amphitheater also offers a full sized stage, cuisine from around the world and a beer and wine garden that often serves as the guests favorite area to parlay. Bob De. Vos With long, blues drenched lines a warm, fat sound and a horn like, melodic approach, Bob De. Vos has been proclaimed a living jazz legend. The masterful guitarist has an enthusiastic following for his innovative work, first with a whos who of jazz greats both in and outside of the Hammond B3 organ genreincluding Richard Groove HolmesSonny Stitt, Jimmy Mc. Bill Easley. A diversified, professional musician, Bill Easley joined the musicians union, Local 1. After military service, he joined The George Benson Quartet in January of 1. He eventually moved to Memphis, Tennessee, where he did a variety of things including performing and recording with Isaac Hayes, other studio work, big bands, show bands, and jazz clubs. It was in the mid 1. Duke Ellington Orchestra under the direction of Mercer Ellington. In January of 1. 98. New York City with the promise of a job on Broadway. In addition to his extensive discography as a sideman, he also has six recordings as a leader Wind Inventions, First Call, Easley Said, Business Mans Bounce, Hearing Voices and Love Stories. Dynamic and musical with extensive experience playing and recording in a wide range of styles, Steve Johns is one of the most versatile drummers on both the New York City and international Jazz scenes. Johns has played with The Benny Carter Quartet, The Billy Taylor Trio, Nat Adderley, Jimmy Owens, Stanley Turrentine, Jimmy Heath, The Randy Brecker Quintet, Jesseye Norman, Dave Liebman, The Ronnie Cuber Band and many others. He is also currently part of the Sonny Fortune Quartet and The Count Basie Orchestra. Dan Kostlenik. An impressive resume on both classical and jazz piano, Dan Kostlenik studied jazz performance while at William Paterson College. He brings a mastery over the traditional organ idiom combined with the ability to handle modern, harmonically complex structures. An in demand player, he is a Down Beat Rising Star. Alyson Williams. An immensely talented vocalist able to sing New Jack Swing tunes or old time soul ballads with equal skill, Alyson Williams is daughter of trumpeter and bandleader Bobby Booker. She did background vocals for Curtis Hairston, Melba Moore, B. B. Q., Cahflow, Unlimited Touch, Bobby Brown, and Barbara Mitchell before joining High Fashion in 1. She also sang with the Affair before going solo in 1. Pointer Sisters Yes We Can Can. She joined Def Jam in 1.
