I went here last night with friends. The Doo. Wop Band was the entertainment. My party of 4 enjoyed the food. We didnt realize there was a limited menu on event nights. That was a bit of a disappointment. The limited menu was high priced and there was a 2. Our waitress Angel was fantastic. She made sure we were satisfied, not only with the food, but with our whole experience. It seemed there was some technical problems with the music. It was hard to tell if the band was any good. We will definitely go back on a night without an event. Update I went here again last night. Once again, I have to say Angel is the best when it comes to service and understanding. The band Boys Night Out was FABULOUS The food was good. I made a reservation for 8 3. When we got there our reservation was messed up it was the first time also. They had no table for us. They said they had a party of 2. With the help of Angel and another man things were sorted out. We were on our way out but decided to stay. The entertainment and ambiance were worth it. The bathroom was a disgrace. It got VERY crowded at about 9 3. If you plan on going for a quiet intimate dinner, or a quick serviced meal, this is not the place to go. Its very high energy and fun. We went here recently because we had searched for best Grouper near Fort Lauderdale and this place came up. We arrived about 6 0. PM and the place looked inviting from the outside but once inside we were rather disappointed. Their website looked very professional and their ratings looked good also but were disappointed. It is more of a locals hangout with a few people at the bar, a couple of them had their dogs, and only 2 other tables of seated people. There was a rather large stage with some gentleman singing, and rather loudly at that. I had the Pistachio Crusted Grouper which was passable but a disappointment. The Pistachio crust was over cooked and kind of bland. The grouper inside the heavy crust tasted old. It came with mashed Sweet Potatoes and Asparagus. Three little stalks of asparagus to be exact. My wife had the Zuppa de Pesce meal and it was very good. She liked it a lot and I had a couple bites that were very tasty to me also. We were in town visiting for a week and we will probably not go back again. This restaurant has a full bar which is why we decided to have dinner here. Most of the restaurants in the area only offer wine and beer. The night we came it was not crowded and they had live music. It was a woman and man and they were quite good, we really enjoyed listening to them play. The restaurant is dark, huge bar area and a stage for the performers. The dining area was comfortable and there are no bad tables as you can sit anywhere to view the stage. We were with a friend and he made the comment that he felt the music was to loud. It was a bit loud but really this is not the kind of place you want to come to talk and have a quiet surrounding. Our server was super friendly, she has been here forever she told us. They have many locals that come here. Quite a few cougars looking to pick up that right man. The people watching made it so much fun. Quite eclectic guests. We ordered some cocktails and a bottle of wine. Prices were reasonable. The menu has salads, soups, sandwiches, apps and plenty of seafood dishes. I ordered a chicken Ceaser Salad and hubby and his friend had a quesadilla and a grouper entree. The food came out fairly quick. My salad was nothing to write much about. I did not care for the ceaser dressing at all. The grilled chicken was fine but the dressing killed the salad. My husbands grouper was quite delicious though. All in all I felt this is a great place to come and see some live music, chill and have a good time. It is quite lively. Nice lounge with decent food. I can see this being a fun place with a group of friends. Since I already ate I cant speak on the crusine here. But someone mentioned this place and I decided to check it out. Justin made a mojito, just been having a taste for it. Didnt eat anything but I was in a drinking mood. I understand that this place has a live band every night. I wondered in here where a band called Head Spsce was setting up and performing. A mixture of vintage rock and roll and original songs. Not a bad spot just depends when you come here. I pass thru here again with a new perspective on it. But for now its worth stopping by. A very fun late night place for dancing and having drinks. Nothing fancy. We went here to celebrate my friends birthday. There were 6 of us. Funny thing we walked in I knew the band Hangin with Brodie. Danced and had a few drinks and had fun. Simple and plain. I would go back. If you dont like this bar, there are a bunch of them in a rowThis is a nice intimate venue to enjoy friends, good food and music. If youre looking for a concert hall, this isnt the place but if you would like an intimate setting where you are up close to the musicians and their music, this is your place. There are no bad seats and you can dance right up to the stage. Albert Castaglia was our show today. He is known to many locally and elsewhere for his blues and interaction with his audience. He pulls you into his show with eye contact and acknowledgement to those he knows. This is complimented by the atmosphere at Fishtales. They were packed this afternoon and the staff were running. All of the food coming out of the kitchen looked great but I chose an old favorite. I love this sandwich for its generous serving of fish with all of the supporting players like swiss, slaw and dressing grilled perfectly. Free Download Robots. I order it with light butter oil so its not the least bit greasy. On the side are their truffle fries. I forgot to take a pic before it disappeared. I enjoy this place but know parking can sometimes be a challenge. Enjoy I was In town for a conference looking for a late night snack. I ordered the tuna tartare based on the bartenders recommendation. Not terrible, but bland had trouble eating it. The crowd is a 5. The service was attentive, but not friendly. We randomly went there and they had a band that had a Bon Jovi, Slash from Guns and Roses and Gene Simmons loolk alike. They had some technical difficultieslooks like there roadies were on vacation but they were great once they went on. Our waiter was great and so was the atmosphere. We got the fish bucket which was pretty good. Seems like a good spot for entertainment on the weekend. Check out the act thats playing on there website. Wow, thought I wrote a review for Fish Tales, but I guess I must have just told the same story a few times. Brace yourself for this fish tale. So here it goes. We showed up on a weekend when they were having a band inside. We chose to sit outside and ordered our drinks. I got a beer, cant remember what my date ordered. So we start looking at the menu and it is huge, with so many great sounding options that I cant figure out what I want. And while Im trying to decide, no waitress. Half way through my beer, still no waitress. And thats when my spider senses kicked in. Usually when there is that many options on the menu, the food is either preprepared not fresh or worse, it will take forever to get our food and by this time we were pretty hungry. So when the waitress does finally return, we just paid the bill and literally walked across the street to eat. The funny thing is I think I keep telling this same story at the place across the street which I frequent every few months. I have been here for lunch and dinner. In the evening their is live entertainment and a you can even dance. Food is tasty Good place just take be with your friends. I also think the menu is reasonable. What a fun atmosphere. Music is live and really good. We had crab cakes for apitizer. Yummmm fish and chips are outstanding and the Carmel chocolate brownie for dessert. Def will go back.
